 Meditation Made Simple...

"I was sent to Arkansas back in 1975 as a teacher of meditation for the Ananda Marga Yoga Society, which also advocates yoga postures twice a day following a 1/2 hour meditation practice. Recently I'm becoming more eclectic in my approach to meditation, and am heavily influenced by A Course in Miracles, which states over and over in its several hundred page text, workbook and teachers manual that even a second totally devoted to God can give one liberation! A specific quote from the text states it thusly:

The miracle comes quietly into the mind that stops an instant and is still (Pg. 591 Text, Chpt. 28 the Undoing of Fear).

The world is full of miracles.....The body is released because the mind acknowledges "this is not done to me, but I am doing this!" And, thus the mind is free to make another choice instead. (Pg. 595 Text, Para 12 - The Undoing of Fear)

Look inward now, and you will not behold a reason for regret, but cause indeed for glad rejoicing and for hope of peace. (Pg. 608 - Chpt. 29 -The Awakening)

Breath & Posture

 Awareness Meditation

Written in Little Rock, Arkansas

June 2008

Standing with your feet firmly planted

and a little bend in your knees, inhale

& come to a completely tall stature.

Now, exhale fully & drop you chin to

your chest with a pause to imagine

an inner picture or color that pleases you.

Finally, breathe in with this mental picture

or color, and trust you have shifted your

mind into a higher level of functioning.

As we operate from higher levels of mind,

the problems of low level thinking (from reactive mind)

will become unimportant, and of little consequence.

They'll just fall away; ceasing to be problems entirely!
